Today we launch a new element of Macho Zapp - our digital artists showcase.

As seen in our immersive features, striking looping visuals have been a large part of what we are about - enhancing the music and themes discussed in our investigations, from record needles to Brisbane punk rock.

So we felt it was only natural to extend this idea to our Youtube and Vimeo channels by adding some of the best digital artists to music tracks.

Although digital art has been around for many years now, we are only just starting to see artists emerging who have grown up with the tools freely available and with the ability to share their work all over the world at the touch of a button.

As such, we are seeing the art grow and mature like never before. The most exciting digital art always seems to hold a futuristic element and so the music we choose to accompany it will be heavily synth-based (although sometimes from yesteryear, if that isn't too much of a contradiction!).

Also we will be posting interviews with the artists themselves to find out more about their process and inspirations. The hope is to make this into something of a platform for the often anonymous artists to gain more exposure for their art, together with some fantastic music.

Check out our first interview with the seriously talented Abel M'Vada here.
